Chrissy Teigen's Chicken Noodle Soup

Every momma needs to be able to make a meannn chicken noodle soup for their sick babies at home, and I have just the recipe for that! Chicken noodle soup is one of the easiest soups you can make but can be very easy to make bland and boring. This recipe gives great flavor to the broth and is loaded with veggies! Once I tried this recipe out 4 years ago, I’ve never gone back to my old one. My super picky husband even loves it too!

Step One: In a big ole soup pot, heat the 2 tablespoons of olive oil. I even like to add a tablespoon or two of butter as well. Add the chopped onion and stir often until softened, 6 to 8 minutes. Add the celery, carrots, thyme, garlic, 1 teaspoon of pepper, 1 tablespoon of salt and cook. Stir often, about 5 minutes until the carrots soften slightly. Add in the bay leaf and chicken broth and bring to a boil. Reduce to simmer and cook for 45 minutes to develop the flavors.

Step Two: Add noodles and chicken and cook for an additional 5 to 10 minutes. Discard of the bay leaf and season with salt and pepper to your desire.
