Step One: Start by preheating the oven to 250 degrees and put a rimmed baking sheet in the oven. In a small bowl, combine the salt, pepper and chili powder. Season your pork evenly on both sides.

All the ingredients to make Pork and Apples

Step Two:In a large non-stick skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Sear both sides of your pork chops for about 3 minutes on each side until golden brown.

After seasoning the pork, sear them on both sides

Step Three: Turn off your oven. That’s right… turn off your oven and transfer the pork chops to your now toasty rimmed baking sheet and pop back into the oven to finish cooking while you prepare your apples.

Put the pork back in the pan and mix with apples

Step Four: In the same skillet you cooked your pork chops in, melt the butter. Add the sliced apples and season with cinnamon. Cook, stirring often, until the apples are soften and the edges are caramelized, about 10 minutes. Add your syrup halfway through cooking. Take your pork out of the oven and place into the pan with cooked apples. Toss your pork and apples and serve.
