Ya’ll seem to love the Joanna Gaines’ recipe reviews, so I’ve decided to do another first impression review on her recipe for Gaines’ Family Chili out of her first cookbook, Magnolia Table. I’m not going to lie to you, if you have read my other reviews from this cookbook, you’d probably see that I haven’t been too big of a fan of this cookbook. With that being said, I was a little hesitant about trying another new recipe (and so was my husband). But what the heck, what could go wrong with chili? 

I grew up in the Chicago suburbs and shrimp & grits was not a common meal to be found. A couple years ago, I stumbled across this recipe by Ayesha Curry and it blew me away. It is extremely easy to make and is jam-packed with flavor.

I heard Jessie James Decker talk about these chocolate chip cookies on her Instagram allll thee timeeee. And I was always like “Okay, cookies are cookies. They can’t be THAT good.” And OMG THEY ARE. Holy moly, I don’t know what it is about these cookies, but I will never make another chocolate chip cookies recipe ever again.

Next on my Go-To Holiday Sides series is this AMAZING recipe for Chrissy Teigen’s Smashed Potatoes. These mashed potatoes are packed with flavor and oh-so creamy! I probably will never turn my back on this mashed potato recipe for any other for the rest of my life. That’s how good they are. They are great for every occasion and easy to whip together. 

I decided to kick off this up-coming holiday season with a series on all my favorite holiday sides! I make all these every. single. year. And they never get old, cause ya know, they’re delicious. 

I’ve been recently loving me some Jessie James Decker recipes and wanted to give another one a try! People have also been loooooving all my JJD recipe posts so I figured one more wouldn’t hurt.

Alright everyone, it's time for the 4th recipe out of my First Impressions Series feating the cookbook Magnolia Table by Joanna Gaines!I chose this recipe because it seemed super easy and straight forward to cook. And of course, I love me a good pork meal.

Who doesn’t love a good enchilada?? I figured this recipe would appeal to a lot of people and is a quick easy meal for my third first-impression recipe out of Joanna Gaines' cookbook, MagnoliaTable.

My husband defiantly lives up to his Irish roots when it comes to obsessively loving beef and potatoes, so picking this beef stew to make was right up his alley. I’m not gonna lie to ya, I'm not the biggest beef fan but I figured I’d give this a whirl. Chrissy Teigen has a beef stew in her second cookbook called Sleepy Time Stew and it’s the freaking bomb. So what the hey, let’s give it a try. 

So I figured I would start this firstimpression series off with the highly known cookbook by Joanna Gaines, Magnolia Table. I’ve seen so many people buy it, but have yet to cook from it and I’ve been dying to know if it’s good or not.

Giiiiiiirllllll, I love me a Dutch baby pancake on a sunny Saturday morning. It’s super easy, looks pretty damn awesome, and is DELICOUS. It reminds me of a mix between French toast and a pancake all twisted into one yummy breakfast treat. Once again, another one of my go-to recipes from Cravings, by Chrissy Teigen. Now let’s begin, shall we? 

Im not gunna lie, when I first read this recipe, I was like, really…. a boxed meal…. with some added veggies and meats…….…. and this is in a “cookbook”?? This recipe is basically on the side of the Zatarain’s box. My food-prissy self hasn’t cooked a meal with pre-made boxed ingredients in quite some time. But ya’ll... it’s goooooood. And easy! Honestly, it’s a win, win! Sorry I doubted you Jessie.. This meal really is DELISH!  

This is one of my go-to recipes from the Cravings cookbook by Chrissy Teigen. Once you make it, it becomes pretty straight forward to quickly whip together. And ALWAYS a crowd favorite! P.F. Changs has NOTHING on this! 

Chrissy Teigen actually calls this dish just Garlic Honey Shrimp, no orange. The first time I made it, I re-looked at the cookbook title and thought, “why isn’t this called ORANGE honey shrimp!?!?”.

 THIS. COBB. SALAD. Holy nutcrackers, this salad is amazing. How can a SALAD be so good?? I know, I thought the same thing. But gosh darn it, it is amazing. The combo of the seasoning on the chicken and the unbelievable dressing, makes it for a match made in heaven.
